This is one of the interesting times of life, when the summer is over and all the kids have to go back to school. Some go through the joy of seeing their old friends, while some parents go through joy thinking about the school being responsible for a large chunk of their time, which they have had to do all summer. Some have trepidation since they are going into a different grade and have no idea if any of their friends will be there or if they will have to make it through the recess jungle all by themselves. There may fear for some based on the year of school, or if they have to navigate an entirely different school this year than last year. Some worry about being bullied or having a mean teacher that gives them nothing but homework and keeps them in during the times when they can strengthen or make new friends. There are many Parents who worry about what they are being taught and if they have enough money for supplies or the chance of going to a school that resembles their beliefs and a high standard of learning that leads to success. As you can see there is a big bag of mixed emotions and thoughts surrounding going back to school. As a Christian we understand that we are always in school, being taught through the Word, by the Holy Ghost and our pastors and teachers along the way. The bible says in John 16:13 "Howbeit, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself, but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." When we are not doing this every day time with God, then it is like taking a summer vacation and the dread of the conviction of God you have been avoiding will finally hit you where you live when you decide to go back to school and spend the first quarter trying to catch up with all that you had missed during your summer. Don't let fear or neglect keep you from going back to school, cause in the end God is still with thee and will help thee to be successful in the things that matter.
