It is interesting to see how so many people look towards the new year with a thought about the current and soon to be last year. Some make resolutions, some have parties, others may take the new year as a time to have communion with their significant others. The new year is met sometimes with a dread attached since the previous year may have been difficult. Yet, for the Christian the new year does not start every January 1st it first began the day a person made a commitment to Jesus being their Lord and Savior and from that day on every day is a new year celebration without a look at the previous years because those have been forgotten and thrown under the blood of Jesus never to be brought up again by God. The bible expresses to us that the outward man perishes but the inward man is renewed day by day so every day can be a new day where ones sins are gone, ones record is clear, and every day is a new opportunity to provide to the world a true new year's celebration.
